Awareness Campaign

You Can Make a Difference

Continuously we work to increase the public’s awareness of Syncope conditions.  This year, with the help of our volunteers, we hope to make progress within the school community in our country, with an emphasis on school nurses, teachers, coaches and parents to include community and recreation centers, local Boys and Girls Clubs, and any after-school activities your child may be involved in. As you know Syncope is treatable and children can live happy and productive lives if they are diagnosed and treated properly.

This year’s Back to School Awareness Campaign provides an invaluable opportunity to increase awareness of Syncope conditions throughout the school community that will help so many who suffer as well as educating their families and friends who are caring for these sufferers.

What can parents and volunteers do to help?

  1. Make sure your school is informed and has implemented a care plan or 504 plan for your child.
  2. Put STARS posters in all schools, especially in teachers lounges, gyms, guidance counselor and health room.
